Terms & Conditions
By booking, attending, or participating in any retreat, stay, activity, or service provided by Ocean Mantra Village, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Prices and Taxes
All prices are listed in [currency] unless otherwise stated. Prices may be shown as inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes, service charges, or government levies, depending on how they are presented at the time of booking.
Ocean Mantra Village reserves the right to amend pricing at any time prior to booking confirmation. Once a booking is confirmed, the agreed price for that booking remains applicable, except where additional services, taxes, government charges, or agreed booking changes apply.
Payment Terms
A 20% non-refundable deposit is generally required to secure a booking.
The remaining 80% balance is generally due in full upon check-in, unless otherwise agreed by Ocean Mantra Village.
However, for certain bookings — including but not limited to peak season stays, group bookings, private buyouts, exclusive-use bookings, long stays, special promotional rates, or other categories designated by Ocean Mantra Village — different payment terms may apply. These may include a higher deposit, earlier payment deadlines, partial prepayment, or full prepayment before arrival.
Where such special payment terms apply, they form part of these Terms & Conditions and are binding upon the guest once the booking is made.
If a guest fails or refuses to make any payment required under the applicable booking terms, Ocean Mantra Village reserves the right to refuse check-in, cancel the booking, and retain any amounts paid in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy.
Age Requirement
Ocean Mantra Village welcomes guests aged 16 and above only.
Guests under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend or stay at Ocean Mantra Village under any circumstances.
Guests aged 16 or 17 may attend only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and only with prior approval from Ocean Mantra Village.
Where required, written consent and supporting documents may be requested in advance.
Accessibility and Special Requirements
Guests must inform us in advance of any disability, medical condition, allergy, dietary requirement, mobility issue, or other special need that may affect their stay or participation.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests where possible, but cannot guarantee that all facilities, terrain, rooms, transportation, or activities will be suitable for every guest.
Retreat Activities and Voluntary Participation
Participation in all retreat activities — including yoga, meditation, breathwork, movement sessions, workshops, excursions, water-based activities, and wellness experiences — is entirely voluntary.
Guests are free to decline participation in any activity.
By participating, guests acknowledge that some activities may involve physical exertion, emotional intensity, environmental exposure, ocean conditions, uneven terrain, or other inherent risks.
Health, Medical Conditions, and Contraindications
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and mentally fit to attend the retreat and to participate in any activities offered.
Guests must disclose in advance any relevant medical, psychological, or physical condition that may affect their ability to participate safely or may require support, limitation, or special accommodation. This includes, without limitation:
- cardiovascular conditions;
- respiratory conditions;
- epilepsy or seizure disorders;
- recent surgery or injury;
- chronic pain or mobility limitations;
- pregnancy;
- panic disorders or severe anxiety;
- psychiatric conditions requiring supervision;
- conditions affected by breath retention, exertion, heat, fasting, stress, or water-based activities; and
- any other condition that could create a risk to the guest or others.
If a guest has any doubt about whether the retreat or any particular activity is suitable for them, they should consult a qualified physician or relevant medical professional before attending.
Ocean Mantra Village is not a medical provider and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, or emergency medical services. Nothing offered during the retreat is intended to replace professional medical care, therapy, or psychological treatment.
Ocean Mantra Village reserves the right to limit, modify, or refuse participation in any activity where, in our reasonable opinion, participation may be unsafe or inappropriate for the guest or others.
Personal Responsibility
Guests accept full responsibility for their own health, choices, conduct, and well-being throughout the retreat.
Each participant is responsible for acting within their own limits, following all instructions provided by retreat staff or facilitators, and immediately informing us of any injury, discomfort, emotional distress, or safety concern.
Code of Conduct
Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, facilitators, local communities, property, wildlife, and other participants.
Ocean Mantra Village reserves the right to remove, refuse accommodation to, or deny continued participation to any guest whose behavior, in our reasonable opinion, is:
- disruptive;
- unsafe;
- aggressive;
- abusive;
- discriminatory;
- intoxicated in a way that affects the retreat environment;
- incompatible with the purpose of the retreat; or
- likely to cause harm, distress, or damage.
In such cases, no refund, credit, or compensation will be provided.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ocean Mantra Village, its owners, employees, contractors, facilitators, and representatives shall not be liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, theft, damage, delay, inconvenience, emotional distress, or expense arising out of or connected with:
- participation or non-participation in retreat activities;
- travel to or from the retreat;
- acts or omissions of third-party providers;
- force majeure events;
- the participant’s own health condition, decisions, or conduct; or
- risks inherent in travel, hospitality, wellness, outdoor, or water-based environments.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.
Assumption of Risk
Guests acknowledge that retreat participation may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional discomfort, environmental exposure, ocean-related risks, slips, falls, food-related reactions, transportation incidents, and the unpredictable nature of travel in remote locations.
By attending, guests voluntarily accept such risks to the extent permitted by law.
Travel Insurance
Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain their own travel insurance and, where relevant, medical insurance, covering cancellations, interruptions, medical issues, injury, evacuation, baggage, and travel disruption.
Guests are solely responsible for ensuring that their insurance is adequate for their personal circumstances and planned activities.
Third-Party Services
Certain services may be arranged by or through third parties, including but not limited to transport providers, excursion operators, boat operators, massage therapists, activity providers, local guides, or other external vendors.
Such services may be subject to the terms, conditions, schedules, and liability rules of the relevant third party. Ocean Mantra Village is not responsible for the acts, omissions, delays, failures, or performance of third-party providers, except where required by law.
Personal Information and Privacy
We may collect, use, store, and process personal information for purposes including:
- booking administration;
- guest communication;
- payment handling;
- dietary or room arrangement;
- safety and emergency contact purposes; and
- service improvement.
Any such use will be handled in accordance with our applicable privacy practices and policies
Complaints and Issues
If a guest has any concern, complaint, or issue during the retreat, they must notify Ocean Mantra Village as soon as reasonably possible so that we have a fair opportunity to address it promptly and appropriately.
We will not be responsible for claims relating to issues that were not reported during the stay where a timely solution could reasonably have been offered.
Force Majeure
Ocean Mantra Village shall not be responsible for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control, including force majeure events described in the Refund Policy.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with any booking, stay, retreat, or related service shall be governed by the laws of Indonesia.
The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith through discussion and mutual cooperation.
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Indonesia, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Waiver
Failure by Ocean Mantra Village to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of any right or remedy and shall not prevent later enforcement of that or any other provision.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Amendments
Ocean Mantra Village reserves the right to update or amend these Terms from time to time.
Any updated version will apply to future bookings from the date of publication. For confirmed bookings, the version in force at the time of booking will apply, unless the guest expressly agrees otherwise.
